An act of bravery was witnessed at Pneknkariki a few days ago. A nine-year-old boy, namea McCormick, who is partially deaf, was riding a bicycle across tho railway line just as tho Auckland express was passing. A twelvc-year-oid lad was near by, and, seeing the danger, rescued tho boy at the risk of liis own life.
