TO-DAY’S “SING”
AT THE TOWN HALL. COLLECTION IN AID OF BLIND. To-day the usual “sing” will be held in tho Town Hail instead of on Wednesday, as the hall is engaged chat day. This week a special section of the circle is reserved for men, so it is hoped that business men will take advantage'of this relaxation hour and enjoy singing. Everybody knows of the late Sir Arthur Pearson and what he has done for the blind in all countries, and everybody knows that New Zealand is endeavouring to raise money for a special memorial to help tho civilian blind of the Dominion. So this week the Wellington Community Singing Committee has decided to devote the proceeds of the collection, after deducting £lO expenses, to this fund.
A Dominion record is asked for and no doubt all community singers will readily respond. They secure happiness by singing and can radiate that happiness by helping the blind. The song leader is Mr H. Temple White, assisted by Messrs Frank Crowther »nd Sid. Allwright.
