The factory bad never been inspected by any of his inspectors. Witness said they always enforced the use of a guard over emerywheels. The only' way witness could account for Hie accident was excessive speed. It was unusual far these wheels to break when, a man was not working at them. In the case in question, witness said be would have required a guard over the -wheel. When witness arrived all the pieces had been collected, but the Other parte of the machinery were not in order. j The Inspector of Factories. Mr John Jackson, said he knew the factory in uestion. It was registered, and the last inspection had been made on July 14th last, and that report stated that the machinery was properly guarded. It -was -possible that the wheel was not on during the inspector’s visit.

The coroner found in accordance with the medical testimony, that death hq£ been due to shock following a blow over the heart, received as a msuit of the hunting of the emery wheel.
