CONCILIATION COUNCIL
PRINTING TRADES DISPUTE.
A Conciliation Council sat yesterday, under the presidency of the Commissioner (Mr W. Newton), to discuss the Wellington Related Printing Trades’ dispute.
The proceedings lasted all day, and only minor points in the employers’ claims regarding machinists were agreed Upon. The principal matters of wages, hours, etc., were dealt -with, but no settlement was effected. The council will resume at ten o’clock this morning.
