GOLF
MIRAMAR v. MANAWATU. The Miramar Golf Club have accepted an invitation, to play the Manaiwatu. Goll Club at Palmerston North on Saturday. The following will leave by the afternoon train to-morrow:—L. D. Hurst, A. E. Conway, J. T. Tucker, J. L. Petiloy, L. W. H. Grace, S. C. Stitchbury, R, M. Doughty, G. H. Grange, H. Hayman, P. White-Pareons, J. G- Hughes, A. JL. Barrow, W. E. Cartwright, and A. B. Sievwright. The match will give the Miramar men a good opportunity to familiarise themselves with the Now Zealand championship course, and .tins knowledge should prove useful to them in September next.
KIRKWOOD IN GREAT FORM.
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association LONDON, May 31. Kirkwood's first ' practice round at Sandwich was done in 71 from the championship tees.
