(Received June 1, 7.5 p.m.) LONDON, May 31.', At the Middlesex tennis tourney, Mrs Beamish beat Mrs Mallory in the fourth round, 6—o, I—6, 6 —4, after an exciting match. (Received June 1, 8.15 p.m.) LONDON, June 1. At Middlesex, in the doubles, Anderson and Lycett beat Henty and Hepburn, 6—2, 6 —2. Wertheim and Mrs Lambert Chambers beat Heryman and Mise Kaye, 6—2, 6—l. Barclay beat Lowe, 6—4, 6—3. He played the best game since his arrival. Mr Wallace Myers, writing in the "Daily Telegraph," on the form to-day, says"l imagine that Barclay would rank as Australia's fourth best player." The Australian Davis Cup players will not appear in any tournaments before Wimbledon.
