MEAT AND TALLOW. The New Zealand Loan, and Mercantile Agenoy Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date May 31st : Tallow —We quote present spot values for the following descriptions: Fine mutton, 49s 6d per cwt; good heef, 37s 3d per cwt; mixed, 32s 9d per cwt. Market lower tendency. New Zealand frozen meat—Lamb, lid per lb; wether and maiden ewe, light 7id per lb, heavy 6jd per lb; ewe, light sjd per lb, heavy sid per lb. Beef. unchanged (last quotations 10/5/22)0x, hinds 4d per lb, fores 2Jd per lb; cow. hiilds 3jd per lb, fores 2d per lb. THE TALLOW MARKET. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their Lopdon office under date of Mar 81st:— “Tallow—2o2s casks offered, 558 sold since our last week's report, prices aie mostly Is lower. Market dull and a lower range of prices is anticipated for the present."
