HIS MISSION IN AMERICA. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received Alay 31, 8.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 31. Mr Verbrugghen (conductor of the N.S.W. State Orchestra) has arrived. He is interested picking up the most advanced musical ideas, and, for that purpose, will get into touch with world-’ famous artists. Ho said that the best musical programmes subsidised by the Government is the ideal of every musical idealist the world over. Sydney realised the ideal of all progressive musical centres.
