_ *** -• « LEONARD NELSON WINS ACTION. PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, May 20. Mr Justice Adams gave judgment in favour of Leonard Nelson, comedian with the Quality Performers, in a case brought against him by C Southwood, the company’s manager. The Supreme Court at Dunedin bad granted an interim induction against Nelson prohibiting him appearing with any other theatrical manager except Southwood during the New Zealand tour of tho. Quality Performers, with whom Nelson had a contract to play in New Zealand. Last week Southwood sought to have the interim injunction made perpetual ps long as the company played in the Dominion. Nelson opposed the motion on the ground that the contract had been broken by Southwood failing to star Nelson in advertisements and in other respects. His Honour said tihe effect of his decision would be to discharge the interim injunction.
