LESS THAN AWARD RATES
HOTEL LICENSEE FINEID. Mr'W. G, Riddell, S.M., yesterday heard a prosecution .by John Jackson, Inspector of,Awards, of F. B. Brough, licensee of the Central Hotel, for . paying less than award rates to a Mrs M. Grigg, chef; and for failing to keep a record of a worker' named Mrs Sims in his time and wages-book. He was also charged with failing to exhibit a timetable showing the working hours of tho employees. On each charge a conviction was entered ilnd a fine of £1 was inflicted wth costs.
