W ANGANUI MURDER
“AN AMAZING TRAGEDY.” At the preldmimairy police inquiry into the Wanganui murder case SeniorSergeant Bouxke said it was one of the most amazing tragedies in the course of his long experience. • There had apparently been no quarrel, and both the men were apparently good friends. Accused did not offer any resistance, . and spoke freely of the dreadful affair.
The deceased man, George Gordon, was about 58 years of age, unmarried, and came from Sunderland, England.
