SHOOTING ACCIDENT
MAN SERIOUSLY INJURED. Par Press Association. WHAKATANE, July 25. Yesterday, at 10 a.m., A. Scherer had been shooting alone on a lake near Mount Edgecombe. He was returning and pulled his boat up and reached for his gun, which discharged. He sustained serious injuries to his right upper arm. On recovering from the shock he rode two miles to his employer’s house, alighted from his norse, and then collapsed. _ A doctor happened to Be in the vicinity, and was qnickly on the scene.' The sufferer was taken to the Whakatane hospital. He will probably loose his arm.
