WELLINGTON DISTRICT CASES. The following cases of infectious disense were reported in the Wellington health district during the week ending July 25th. The corresponding figures far the previous week are given in parentheses:— • Scarlet fever, 18 (14) —Waiparwa, 7; Palmerston North, 1: Wellington, 8; Wairarapa, I; Wairau, 1. Diphtheria. 16 (16) —Palmerston North.'2; Wellington, 10; Wairarapa, 2; Nelson, 2. Tuberculosis, o (o)—Waip&wa, 1; 'Wellington, 4. Varicella, 13 (15) —Waipaiwa, 2; PaDmevsion North, 8: Wellington, 8; Wairarapa, 4. Erysipelas, 3 (1) —Wadpawa, 2: Wellington, 1. Pneumonia, 3 (B)—Waipawa, 1; Wel- * bngton. 2. Puerperal septicaemia, 0 (1). Uereibro-spinal meningitis, 0 (I). A ease of chronic lead-poisoning, no. tifimble, but not infectious, was also reported in Wellington city.
