FIRE IN TUI STREET
COTTAGE DESTROYED. At 6.55 o’clock on Saturday evening, the Fire Brigade received a call to a three-roomed wooden dwelling in Tui street. Although the brigade was quickly on the scene, owing to the strong wind the building and contents were practically destroyed. The house was occupied by Sydney Hodge, and was owned by Air Morice, 71, Cambridge terrace. The contents were not insured. The origin of the •fire is unknown.
