GAS FOR LOWER HUTT
QUESTION OF DUAL CONTROL. At- last might's meeting of the Lower Hutt Borough. Council a report from the special committee set up to consider the gas question was tabled. It recommended “that the Lower Hutt Council meet the Petone Borough Council in conference to see if they are prepared to join in with a scheme of joint o*mership and control of the gasworks with; this borough, as approved of and recominended by the Board of Trade." This recommendation was adopted on the motion of the Mayor (Mr E>. P. Rishworth).
