At the Museum last evening Mr Gtt. TJttley presided over a. meeting of the Geological Section of the Philosophical Society. There -were about a dozen present. Professor Marsdea read Ur. G. Angenheister’s (Samoa) paper on “Pacific Earthquakes—A contributio nto our knowledge of the upper crust- of the earth’s surface.” Professor Marsden subsequently gave various demonstrations and explanations of the matter contained in the paper.
