SEAMAN MISSING
OFFICIAL INQUIRY HELD. Yesterday Captain S. G. Stringer, Government Superintendent of lie?, cantile Marine, held an official inquiry into the case Of an able-bodied Seaman, Luke Angrove, aged 43 years, who, as reported in yesterday’s "New Zealand Times,” disappeared from the 'barque Mamuewa- while she lay anchors ed m the stream at Wellington on Monday night. . The evidence was taken of the master, Captain R. G. Holmes; the, mate, B. F. Fisher; the cook, Tom Burns; and an A.B. named Linberg. The lastmentioned was apparently the last to see the missing man, who was then keeping watch on deck about 9 o’clock on Monday night. The evidence lia-S been handed to the Marine Department for consideration. _ Nothing was elicited to explain the disappearance of Aug rove.
