An inquiry has opened into the death of Gertrud© Riley, which occurred in A fire in Hie Federated Feature Films, Ltd-’s, premises in Neman’s Buildings in Melbourne caused daman the fire at Nnnan’e buildings in ApnL estimated at £20,000. Mias G. Riley, who was employed in the building, after telephoning her employer that the I workrooms were ablaze, was overcome : by Hie smoke mid heat and horned to death. Subsequently Mortem Pahner Pimontal, managing director of the Federated Films Ltd., was arrested on a charge of maliciously setting fire tc Nunan’s Buildings with intent to do fraud.
