ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
MEETINC OF REFEREES NUMBER OF KNOTTY POINTS DISCUSSED. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. Tlie annual meeting of the Wellington Referees? Association, “Soccer” code, was held at the Y.M.C.A. rooms last night. Present: Mr B. L. Salmon, in the chair, Messrs Lithgow, Campbell, W. S. Webster, C. Webster, Ferguson, Auld, C. Webster, Moore, Arnold, Stuart, Ching, Wilson and C. \V. Ward (secretary). The annual report and balance-sheet already summarised in the “Times,” was unanimously adopted, members expressing satisfaction at the state of the finances of the association. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, B. L. Salmon; vice-presidents, Messrs Yoeman and Lithgow; delegate to N.Z.R.A., R. S. Lithgow; examination ' board, Messrs Salmon, Wells, Lithgow, Yeoman and Godber; appointments committee, Messrs Salmon, Yoeman and Ward; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. W. Ward. It was decided to hold a meeting of the referees on the first Monday of each month. During the evening a lot of knotty points in regard to the control of ipatches were raised and discussed.
