WOOL SALES
COMPETITION BRISK. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, under date of the 7th instant: “Wool sales continued active, competition is brisk and buying is general from all quarter® exoept America. Merinos show hardening tendency. Wools suitable for carbonising, fair demand from France and Germany. As compared with laat sales closing rates, crossbred 50’s and above 10 per cent, dearer, below 50’s 5 per cent, dearer. “Bawra” and free catalogues are being well cleared.”
