• REDUCTION OF WAGES IN BRITAIN/ TRAWLER MEN PROTEST. Reuter’s Telegram. LONDON, May 7. Protracted negotiations between the building trade employers and operatives have terminated in the conclusion of an agreement for a national reduction in wages' of twopence per hour from the 16th. Many hundreds of the Firth _ of Forth trawler men have struck against the proposed reduction of 121 per cent, in wages. A fish' famine is threatened, failing a speedy settlement. AT MOUNT LYELL .
