Sir Ernest Shackleton hae just returned from a trip to Canada, and passing through Leeds a little while ago he delivered a lecture on his experiences during his last Antarctic Expedition. He amused his audience by relating the following story:—“When anyone fell through the ice we pulled him out again. I gave the ninth man cocoa, and the accidents ceased.” It is understood that Sir Ernest's next tour of exploration will concern Arctic regions.
