CONDITIONS IN CHITA
AMERICAN MISSION TO INQUIRE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received April 21, 8.15 p.m.) WASHINGTON, April 20. It is officially stated that an American mission, headed by the commercial attache at the American Embassy in Tokio, will shortly bo sent to Chita for the purpose of observing the conditions there. It is not determined whether the mission will have a military member. Its dispatch is in response to Chita’s recent requests for American roabgnitiion, and it is felt that the United States will probably formulate a policy towards Siberia, which will be markedly distinguished from the known Russian policy
