OBITUARY
MR CATHCART WASON. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, April 20. Mr J. Cathoart Wason, M.P. for Orkney and Shetland, is dead, aged 73. Mr John Cathcart Wason was called to the Bar in England and subsequently oamo to New Zealand, where he engaged in fanning. He represented Coleridge, Wakanui and Selwyn in the Now Zealand Parliament, finally returning to England. Since 1900 he had represented Orkney and Shetland in the House of Commons.
