KARORI GOLF CLUB
ANNUAL MEETINGi. The annual meeting of members wag held on Wednesday night. There was a full attendance of members. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, as submitted to the members, congratulated members on the excellent state of the finances of the club. hie also mentioned that toe membership was distinct ly satisfactory, the register being always full during the past season, but owing to several resignations received lately the committee were prepared to receive nominations for men members. The members were to -be congratulated upon the fact that all the greens were no v improved, and this year would prove a great benefit to players- In Air B. O. Lever the club had a greenkeeper who took a personal interest in the welfare of the links, and there was no doubt that his work was highly appreciated by members. It was proposed that the incoming committee should allocate an appropriate sum for the improvement and extension of the golf house. The leaae of the links had beer, extended for a further three years at an increased rental, with the option of renewal.
The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —President, Mr A. MoKemde; vice-presidents, Messrs C £. Galwey, J. Griffiths, O. ALasengarb; captain, Mr H. L- Dyett; secretary and treasurer, Mr H. J. Stott; committee, Messrs G- G. Watson. A. Howlands, A. Sinclair, W. D. Cook; hon. auditor, Mr C- M. Banks. Tho prixes won during the year were presented to the winners by Alias B. Gecrge. It was decided that the official opening day of the links for the season. be Saturday, April 2nd, but members were entitled to play on the links from March 25th. Votes of thanks were passed to all retiring officers. It was decided to secure the services of a golf coach if possible.
The following members promised to donate prises for competition amongst the ladies for the ensuing season: — Messrs Mazengarb. A. McKenxie. C. M. Banks, G- G. Watson, and H- L. Djett.
