TROUBLE IN INDIA
PROTEST AGAINST ARREST OF AGITATORS.

In consequence of tho arrest of Burmese agitators, a charge of sedition and abetting the desertion of soldiers hartals have been instituted at Rangoon and Mandalay, while Indian and Burmese shops and bazaars have been closed. The people are raising funds for the defence of an agitator, and are trying to arrange a complete hartal throughout Burma during tho trial next Monday.
