TALA AT PASHA’S DEATH

Jn connection with the assassination of Tala-at Pasha, Solomon Neilirian, 24 years of age, and a student, who is still horribly mauled as the result of the crowd attempting to lynch him, made a dramatic confession in tho hospital to the police. He said ho had been seeking revenge for ten years. When a bov he saw his parents dragged frpm their home in an Armenian village and brutally killed in his presence at Talaat’s orders. Ho swore t-o his dying mother that he would not rest until Taloat was dead. He nourished his hate until the war gave liim an opportunity of fulfilling his mission ill life. He followed Talaat from Constantinople to Switzerland, thence to Berlin. Owing to having no money and the fact that he only spoke Persian and Armenian, he was for a long time unable to approach his enemy but at last he was successful. He ended the confession: “I am happy now*. I have no feeling of repentance. 1 ’
