-MEDALS FOR SERVICE? The Minister for Defence was asked, in the House of Representatives yesterday, if it was the intention of the Government to accede to tho recommendation of the Defence Committee of last session in the direction of granting medals to Horne Service men. The Minister said he lire! had considerable correspondence on the .subject, including some from a firm willing to make tie- medals at a' certain cost. Ho had not been able to put tho matter before Cabinet, but would do so as soon as he could-
