A TRAIN SENSATION
ON* WAIR-ARAP A-WELLINGTON LINE. passengers from Masterton to Wellington have recently been alarmed at the pace at which the trains travel around the curves on tho down grade from the Summit Uo the “Upper Hutt 'says the “Wairarapa Age”). On one day recently tho carriages swayed so violently that passengers were thrown from their seats, and women shrieked in terror. The attention of the department has previously been drawn to the danger of a speedy descent on this part of the line, and it is feared that unless measures are taken to remedy the matter, a serious accident may occur.
