Tim Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-operative As>ociat ion. l.tib, 1 eports:—There was only a lair attendance t»f buyers, and it was at once apparent that prices had proatlv recodetl on the previous sale held oa February 11th. <*ompared with the previous sale, all classes of dry sheepskins were haver by approximately 40 per cent. "With tho exception of heavy i>x hide-, which in some instances sold up to previous sale rates, all hides and caifskins showed a sharp decline, particularly noticable in light and inferior lines, tne latter in some cases failing to elicit a bid. Superior calfskins were lower by 3f> per cent. Tallow was weak and there were practically no sales. ARRAITAM AND WILLIAMS. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:— Tha us.ua 1 skin and hide sales were again resumed yesterday to a full bench of buyers, who operated, keenly for ail good 'grades of produce, but for anything of an inferior description they were not inclined to biu. Vr/jes for sheepskins receded about IDI to 2d per lb. in sympathy with the decline in wool values, aid hides and calf were lower to tho extent of 2d to 3d per lb. \V*> submitted one Hue of West Coast stout ox hides, which realised, after spirited competition, 12£d per lb. Tallow wa s practically neglected, lot after loj being submitted without receiving any Sailed pelts and quarter wools skinn were on a. par with last, sales rates, and wo disposed of the bulk of our catalogue of waited skins at prices which at present are very satisfactory considering the sLa.ro of tho markets. X.Z. LOAN AND MERCANTILE. Fairly large catalogues were offered to a good attendance of buyers. In sympathy with the low state of wool values, •d.ecpskiitt? were difficult to sell at prices approaching previous sales* rates, fh© do* dine being from id to Id per lb. Heavy ox hfcfcs weie lower f>y 3d to 3-1 d* p«r lb, and others were correspondingly low. DALGETY AND CO. Dalgetj and Co., Ltd., report:—Although a fair number of exporters, tan* nei> and fell mongers were represented, tho market was lifeless, and a big percentage of the catalogues was passed in. Heavy-weight sound ox and oest light calf were the only hide® in demand. Sheepskins and tallow were extremely hard to dispose of, and only a few' choice lots were sold. Owing to tn« limited inquiries from the buyers we are unable to give a reliable range of prices. FARMERS’ DISTRIBUTING CO'. The New Zealand Farmers* Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report:—The market was very fiat and values generally show a big decline, especially sheepskins, which were down 40 to 50 per cent., the buyers refusing to bid on the majority of lines offered. MURRAY. ROBERTS AND 00. Murray, Roberts and Co. report:—We submitted a catalogue of 6000 sheepskins and 2200 hides and calfskins to the usual attendance of buyers. The recent decline in wool values was reflected in the price** bid for ekins, which, had declined from Id to 2d per lb in dry *kins and from 5d to lOd e*xoh in salted skins. The hide market was Lil«*lej*s, excepting for a few lots of heavy stout ihides, which about reached. Utet sale’s prices. Medium and light weights, however, fell heavily, and. the drop may )*> estimated at from 2d to 3d por lb. Calfskins showed a decline of up to 5d per lb. There was no demand f(«r tallow.
