THE GORGE FATALITY. INQUEST ON THE VICTIM. p£R PRESS* ASSOCIATION. PALMERSTON N., March 16i At the inquest on David Davidson, the victim of the recent motor fatality in the Gorge, medical evidenoe was given that a post mortem revealed a severance .of tho temporal artery, little blood being left in the body. A verdict was returned accordingly, and that the injuries were sustained in a motor accident in the Manawatn Gorge. MOTOR FATALITY. LITTLE BOY KILLED NEAR PUKEKOHE. FSB PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, March 16. A hoy named William Henry Pratt, aged six years, was run over by a motor-lorry near Pukekobe yesterday, and killed. SUDDEN COLLAPSE. ANOTHER DEATH AT WBAKATANE. WHAKATANE, March 16. The series of tragic happening at the Whakatane electric scheme headworks was added to this afternoon by the sudden death of Walter Austin, aged 50, a married man. While workin tr at a distance from the others he was seen to hold up a hand and collapse. He was hurried for three miles over a rough track and was met by a doctor, but died en route to the hospital at Whakatane. Deceased was twice gassed in France, where he had been sergeant-major in the Tunnelling Corps. .
