ASIATIC EGG-PULP
PROHIBITION OF IMPORT URGED. At the annual meeting yesterday of the Wellington District Poultry FarAssociation, the importation of Asiatic egg-pulp was the subject of com siderable discussion. Mr E. Hould stated that .las* year about -£130.000 worth. of tins pulp was imported, and much of it oonsisfed of sea-birds’ eggs and so forth. . .. Mr A. G. Mumby and Mr WUlonghpy Knight (president of the Association) stated that for years past the egg-pulp question had been very strongly taken up with the Government by the New Zealand Poultry Association, the head association; and there was hope that the Government would shortly deal with it in a satisfactory manner. On the motion of Mr Mumby it was decided to forward the following remit to the Poultry Assooiation Conference to be held in Auckland next month:— “That the Government be requested to take steps to enforce the law jirohibdting the importation of egg-pulp.”
