Donald Pugh, aged 18, who, at the Magistrate’s_ Court on a charge of attempted carnal knowledge was ordered to appear at the Supreme Court for sentence, failed this morning tp answer wihen his name was oallecT He woe one of the first to be admitted to probationary bail under the amended Probation Act of 1920. Previously prisoners commit bed for sentence were not admitted to hail. Counsel far the prisoner said ho hod no knowledge of Pugh’s wherea/bou ts, and hie arrest was ordered by Air Justice 'Hardman.
