TUTANEKAI’S CRUISE
BACK FROM THEI ISLANDS. BIRDS FOR WELLINGTON ZOO. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. DUNEDIN, -January 28. The Tutanekai returned this .morning from a cruise to the Bounty, Antipodes, and Campbell Islands. The food depots, at Bounty and Antipodes Islands, were intact. Owing to bad wether, the vessel was unable to land stores and material for the erection of a new depot at Bounty. There was no sign, of castaways. The vessel spent two days at .the Campbells. The men. employed there were in good health. The season is reported to have been excellent, and ahout 3200 sheep were shorn out, of 6000. The Tutanekai brought back two fine specimens of the king penguin, seven royal penguins, and two emperor penguins for the Wellington Zoo.
