Tlie post office has announced that the Pacific Mail Steamship Company will, on February Ist, inaugurate a service of tjventy-knot Anieriwin steamships from San Framoisoo to Honolulu, Manila, Saigon, Singapore and Gafout. tft. It is expeoted that the mail service to the Orient will be greatly speeded up.
