SAFEGUARDING N.Z. INTERESTS.
The Prime Minister, asked hr a “Times” representative yesterday what la the present position in renpeot u> the wool reakfaauon, said:—“Cconmuniaxtkxne as t» the Wool Realisation Scheme are still posing between the New Zealand Government, the High Commissioner, and the Imperial A urn oritiee, and an early ecoemsion -to these is anticipated. The matter could quite well have been fixed by now but for the foot that the Government ia poTtieutaniy desirous of safeguarding the interests of New Zealand in every direction, and h is largely in connection with the provision of these safeguards that the present negotantieme are taking place. Having a full realisation of the Imperial Government's good feeling towards the Dominion, I have every hope thwt the safeguemfe considered necessary will bo provided for. 0
