MASTERTON SHOW

ENTRIES CLOSE TO-DAY. Entries for the Maaterton show will close to-day (Saturday), at 10 p.m. A larticularly attractive schedule has >een drawn up, every class of exhibit having been liberally catered for. The valuable prizes which have been awarded to tho stock section of the show should bring forth large entries. A feature of tho show this year will undoubtedly be the ring events. Substantial prize-money has been allotted to these attractions, which will undoubtedly ljo of considerable interest to tho public. The hunters’ iump carries with it tho Buick Memorial Cup and £l7 irv prize-money, while in the champion jump £SO is offered, besides the Vallance rose bowl, valued at £25. The polo ball race is one of the new features introduced by the association in connection with its ring competitions. Late entries will be received up till Saturday, February sth, on the payment of is per entry late fee. The annual and ewe fair will be held on February 17th and ISth, entries for which will close on January 26th.
