A professional contest for the middleweight championship,’ between Jack Heeney (holder) and Les Glee son, took place at the Town Hall last night. Heeney forced the fighting throughout, although, in some of the rounds Gleeson troubled hie opponent. He connected once or twice with a right cross to the aw, but Heeney’s cleverness enabled him to avoid taking the full force of the blow. The fight went the full distance, Heeney receiving the decision' on points.
