In the Arbitration Court to-day His Houour, in several catses, refused to grant the full cost of living bonus ot 6s to female workers on the grounds that the full bonus was really intended for married men with a family ot throe. It was argued by _ a representative of the Musicians' Union that a. w©~ man might be leading an orchestra and that the .wages were the same for men nnd women, but Hia Honour replied that the question of wages did not enter into the matter at all. Miss Cossey, on behalf of the Tailcresses' Union, urged for an increaso on certain white- workers' rnininruni wages, ns they would only get hair . tho 6s bonus "according to" the court's ruling, nntl thev would have to be contented' "with 35s a week for another fievnn month!?. ■*.
