RESOLUTIONS BY AUCKLAND PRODUCERS. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. AUCKLAND, September G. An important \ and representative meeting of Auckland provincial cUrfry factory representatives was held in Auckland on Friday; when the recent' oablegram received by the butter committee through the Prime Minister from the Imperial Government was discussed. The cablegram waa as follows:- : - With reference to your telegram ,of August 26th, His Majesty'* Government agrees to extend tho offer to cover Dutter delivered t* stores in - New Zealand up ta March 31et next, and raises no objection to ' the completing of contracts made ■ prior to August ' 21st withJUnitcd States and Cana- ' dian buyers, subject to unforeseen contingencies. A free market ia contemplated m respect of the ox. portable surplus after March 31st. After a lengthy review and di6cu» sion' of the position, the following resolution was finally carried : "Regarding the terms of Mr Maesey's toiegrnm of August 26th to the. Imperial Government, this association recommends to sell as laid down by the terms of their offer dated August 25th, and empowers tho Dominion Butter Committee to accept the . Imperial Government's offer, subject to a free and unrestricted markot in the United Kingdom being granted to New Zealand producers; free and unrestricted market to mean equal conditions -with the dairy producers 'Of Ireland and Great Britain." , A further resolution was aleo carried protesting against any further payment being made by the Qovernmenfi from the Consolidated Fund to reduce the price of butter in New Zealand, and urging that all restrictions on locai sales be removed from October Ist.
