WHAT ALASKA CAN DO. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. SEATTLE. September 4. Colonel Greeley, the newly-appoint. ed Chief Forester for the Onited States, states that Alaska , contains about a hundred million cords of pulpwood, and can produce 1,500,000 tons of newsprint paper a year, which ia "virtually equal to the amount the Dnited States is now compelled to import from Canada. Two large mills will shortly be established in Alaska for the production of paper.
