MINERS’ GRIEVANCES
DIFFICULTIES EXPECTED TO BE ADJUSTED.
It was officially stated last night that now that the miners’ grievances in respect to the men who had!refused to pay the levies imposed, having been settled, as well as the dispute in regard to railway fares, 1 to and from the mines, it is expected the disputes in respect to Gore and Mataura will be amicably adjusted. Mr Pi Hally, Conciliation Comissioner, and Mr J. Arb,uckle (representing the Miners’ Federation), left for the south on Saturday night for the purpose of meeting the miners at Gore and Mataura, and it is anticipated that they will be completely successful in their mission. *
