On the House of Representatives going into Committee or Supply on the Estimates yesterday afternoon, Mr T. Ml Wilford (Hutt) asl«d the Prime Minister how many classes it was proposed to take that day. Members who were following the Estimates closely could not possibly bring the material for all the classes into the House with them.
Mr Massey replied that it was a reasonable question. The Minister for Public Health (the Hon. C. J. Parr) was at the table, and it was proposed to take first Class Xl^—Mental Hospitals, Public Health, Hospitals and Charitable Aid Departments; also tho Lands and Survey, Valuation and Electoral Departments,. and the Education Estimates. Mr Wilford: All of those to-day t Mr Massey: A very small day's work. (Laughter.)
