A return match between the Karori Golf Club and the Waiwetu - «3roJf Club was played on the links of the latter club on Saturday, and resulted in a win for Waiwetu" by seven matches to nil with qne halved. The individual matches were as follows, naming the Karori players first, viz.:—-Rhodes lost to Black, "Turner lost to Cwilliam, Dyett lost to W-hitehead, Ardell lost • to Carr, Hart senr., lost to Cook, Griffiths halved , with. Hobbs, Hart, jnr., lost to Macaskill, Rowlands lost to Pringle. KIRKWOOD TO VISIT NEW ZEALAND. - ' Sitae little time ago it was stated that inducements''had been offered to J. -H. Kirkwood, the champion golf player of the Commonwealth, to visit JN ew . Zealand, . and it is now definitely stated that he,has accepted the offer. As Kirkwood is a likely contestant lor the Engiish championship next year, his advene in New .Zealand toward the end of Sep-tember-or; early in October will be looked for with the keenest interest by. all golfers. Writing of ' this player recently, "Driver," in the* Melbourne "Herald," said, H.
