Another letter written by a parishioner of Father Jerger's in 1918, and sent to Father Peter McDonnell, states tJiat since the latter's departure the Marrickville Parish Church had been converted into a German propaganda house. — PRIEST TRANSFERRRD TO CRUISER. (Received July 20, 5.5 p.m.) PERTH,. July 25. It is unofficially stated that Father Jerger was transferred to the crui<?er Encounter in order to avoid trouble with the watcrsiders.
