THE EMPRESS.

The now programme which was presented at the Empress was up to the usual standard, and June Blvidge was seen to groat advantage in her latest picture, "Coax, Me/' a seven-reeled comedy. The story opens with old Colonel Lovcioy, whose fancy for widows is remarkable. The one in this case is Sirs Tashmen, a guest at the colonel’s house. Next on the scene is bold and pretty Nancy, who does not approve of the colonel carrying on with the widow, and she decides to upset his plans. Then Jim Wildman comes on 1 the scene, who appeals to Nancy, but the widow is after him as well. Another lover comes into the story, his name being Dick. Richardson, who is also after the widdw. The colonel decides to get Nancy married, out of the way; hut Jim as getting too fond of the gay widow, and the colonel decides to marry the widow to save Jim for Nancy. Jim has his eye on another young lady—an adventuress by the name of Kathleen—but Dick turns up at the right moment and marries her, so leavdug the way clear for Nancy and Jim to marry. The comedy work is particularly well done in this film picture, and is very smart. The seventh chapter of "The Man of Might” is also shown, with the usual Gazettes.
