MAKARA COUNTY
MONTHLY MEETING OF COUNCIL. The monthly mooting of the Makara County Council was held yesterday, when there were present; Councillors S. Bryant (in the obair), and E. Windley, D. Prosser, and S. Bowler. The council agreed -to suusidiso 'the library scheme of the Wellington City Council, in respect to schools within Mukara county, to- the amount of £O. On the motion of Councillor Bowler it was decided to apply to the Wellington .City Council for immediate attention ,to the Karori Hill road, which was stated to be “in a disgraceful condition.” Allotment-holders of boat and bathing shed" at Titahi Bay are to be advised ’bat the buildings must be erected on the sites allotted by the council. The matter of securing the collection of dog 'taxes was left in the hands of the chairman and clerk for furtherAccounts amounting to £73 12s- 4d were passed for payment.
