A ROYAL RANCH
PURCHASE! BY PRINCE OF WALES. PER TRESS ASSOCIATION. WHAKATANE, March 23. In reference to the purchase- by the Prince of Wales of a ranch in Canada, Mrs J. Eivers, an old resident here, Jias made tho following statement; "The Prince of Wales has just lately bought from a member of my family the ranch called 'BoddingfielJ Estate,' in Alberta, Canada. It is ouo of l the oldest ' ranches, having been taken up in 1883, and consists of 1600 acres of first-class land, freehold aid leasehold. The Prince intends to stock it with purebred Shorthorn cattle, purebred Shropshire* sheep, and thoroughbred horses from on© ol '.his farms in England, 6omeone from tho ranch having been sont to England to select tho most suitable animals. Ex-service men, both Imperial and Canadian, will bo employed on tho ranch, and there tho Prince hopes occasionally to make his home."
