SCIENTIFICALLY MADE AKTIOLES. DEFENCE DEPARTMENT'S WORK. The manufacture of spliaU -by tjh« Defence Department is stated to hava been a great success. In -the past splints were- procured for disabled Soldiers and civilians practically vrtthou* any special care or knowledge, on tho part of *he manufacturer, Deing first acquired as to the nature -of tho disablement for which 'the splint* wera to be. used. That method or manofacture is obsolete. Splints are now made so as to be o£ the greartest benefit to the patient and are constructed to meet any special or complicated form of disablement-. The eplihts, m nu> merous instances, have. proved' -so efficacious that many complete cures hav« been reported. .?•/. The civilian hospital authorftiet have realised ithe. benefits -that hkv« been obtained by the use of scoenttft cajly manufactured srilints, and «n» plies are novr being obtained from 'A' Defence Department.
