VAUDEVILLE TRIALS
The host of entries received. by Mr Vernon Spencer for the Vaudeville Trial night at the Grand Opera House on Saturday next promises to eclipse all preceding trials, and an excellent entertainment is assured. Some of the competitors are breaking new ground, fher.e is one who aspires to bo a contortionist dancer, another a lady siifleur, many balladists, one a Maori dancer, a.so several exponents of ragtime. Of course, there are comedians, jugglers, ban joists, and acrobats. Up to the present no entry has been received for a- “revue,” but the management has hopes. The Jazz Orchestra will keen things merry and bright. Plans open at the Bristol on Wednesday,
